About srails

A live picture of Singapore's rail network: every MRT and LRT line and station, including alignments that are still planned, in 2D and 3D. Live layers add station crowding now and as forecast through the day, service alerts and trip updates, passenger flows between stations, monthly footfall and weather over the same map.

Passenger flows

LTA publishes, each month, the number of trips made between every pair of stations by hour and by weekday or weekend. The map draws the busiest journeys of the chosen hour as arrows from origin to destination, coloured from the line boarded to the line left; pick a station to see all journeys from or to it. Each pair is also assigned along its shortest path over the network, which gives the number of passengers who normally cross each link between two adjacent stations in a given hour. When a stretch of line is disrupted, that is the number of people who need another way through, and the stations they are heading to. Figures are monthly totals divided by the number of weekdays or weekend days in that month.
